Hiking trail Trierweiler - Sirzenich 6
This is a demanding route but Hikers will be rewarded with numerous highlights. Start is at the cemetery in Sirzenich. The first great view is to the highest elevation "the Galgenberg". Even numerous districts of Trier can be seen from here. The narrow path leads you through a dense and fairy-tale forest area. The water treading basin offers a welcoming cooler during the summer months. Narrow paths and beautiful forest paths meander towards the Sirzenicher stream. Before reaching the lowest point of the tour, you will pass impressive rock formations.
While reaching the city limits of Trier, the route leads over a wooden bridge to the Sirzenicher stream. From here the wild adventure begins. Following the course of the stream, 7 bridges facilitate the crossing. The Sirzenicher waterfall forms the end of this fantastic scenery. The place is perfect for a break and to listen to the rippling of the water.
From here, we walk back through the forest to Sirzenich.
