The first part of the tour easily follows a former railway track. You cycle around Luxembourg city on a shadowy path along the Alzette river.

The itinerary meanders through woods and vineyards to reach the wine town of Remich. Following the wide Moselle valley, you cycle downstream to the country´s lowest geographical point in Wasserbillig, after crossing the formerly fortified city of Grevenmacher. Through a splendid green landscape the route then follows the Sûre river from its mouth into the Moselle back to Echternach.
