Römer Markus path
Kordel
This path runs along the wildromantic canyon of the Butzerbachtal, several small ropebridges and waterfalls, which especially during summertime, act as a nice refreshment.
After having climbed some steps, the path continues into the left in direction of the ´Putzlöcher´, a roman mining facility.
Parts of this hike proceed along the premium hiking path ´Eifelsteig´ .
A small detour, about 300m away, to the viewpoint Geyersley or to the Genovevacave with a height of 15m, make this hike worth your while.
Once you make it to the way back, you pass the "Laufbachtal", after a short while along the bicycle path, the tail turns left into the forest and leads to the ruin of the castle of Ramstein.
