The Rheinisches Landesmuseum Trier is one of the most important archaeological museums of Roman antiquity in Europe.
The exhibition space spans approx. 3,500 square metres. The museum permanently showcases around 4,500 objects, in addition to approx. 12,000 coins on display in the coin gallery. The exhibition tour is chronologically arranged and shows 200,000 years worth of history, from the Stone Age right up until the Baroque period.
The main focus oft he collection is on the Roman era, a period during which the region rose to it´s greatest significance.
