Mountainbike route Greiveldange

Bech-Kleinmacher

This mountainbike route counts as one of the most interesting and also diversified in the Mosel area. The startingpoint is in Greiveldange, a picturesque, typical wine village, continuing up into the vineyards. Here, you´re able to enjoy the breathtaking view of the river Mosel flowing beneath you. You now pursue through dense forests in direction of Lenningen, reaching your destination, after having cycled downhill to Stadtbrediums, located just at the bank of the Mosel river.

This small village is known for its dam and its castle, within which the cellars of the winemaker cooperative ´Vinsmoselle´ are located.

Furthermore, the poet, Edmond de la Fontaine, also known as ´Dicks´, was born here.

On your way back to Greiveldange you once again have the opportunity to overlook the stunning sinuosities of the Mosel River.

Zemmer Grundsgraben Adventure Tour

This route requires some endurance. The start at the observation tower Rodt with the panoramic view over the Eifel is great. The trail partially runs along the "Premiumwanderweg" Eifelsteig. The hike is varied, there is a lot to see and discover as for example; parts of a reconstructed Roman wall, a former horse watering place, the "Kaiserlinde" and the "Heimatmuseum". Continue to the water staircase, which promises refreshment during the summer. Through a natural forest part, the path leads back across the Grundgräben to Schleidweiler. The small Kreuzwegkapelle (chapel), which rises on a hill, invites you to linger. Engaged citizens have lovingly designed the surroundings of the chapel.
